The holidays are all about family, so make sure you don't forget your senior family members who love to do something with you this December. Working in the senior home care industry, we know that seniors benefit when they get out into the community, but this is especially important during the holiday season. Many elderly adults experience acute loneliness over the holidays. Make sure you're seeing to it that your loved ones do not feel forgotten in this, the season of giving. - Central Florida Health Expo. Friday, December 1, 2017, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, International Market World Flea and Farmers Market Bldg. K – Big Yellow Building, 1052 US 92 W, Auburndale, FL 33823.

The Central Florida Health Expo is the area’s premier event for health-conscious adults.  The event will be held at International Market World Flea and Farmers Market in Auburndale. The market comes alive on Fridays as shoppers stroll through one of the area’s largest farm fresh produce markets, enjoy live entertainment and experience the market’s vibrant atmosphere.  This event is free to the public. Everyone is welcome!

-A Christmas Story: The Musical, 2017 Dec. 1, 2, 3 & 8, 9, 10, Friday & Saturday 7:30 pm/ Sunday 2:00 pm, Lakeland Community Theatre, 121 S Lake Ave, Lakeland, FL  33801.

This musical, which received rave reviews on its Broadway run, is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. $22 Adults, $20 Seniors, $15 Students (17 and under)

The Downtown Farmers Curb Market is a key component of a vibrant, diverse and exciting Downtown. It is designed to serve and bring together all segments of our community. It is a positive force in bringing people Downtown to purchase fresh produce, plants and local handcrafted items. The 11-month Market (closed in August) is a showcase for the talents and the work of local artisans and local growers. The Downtown Farmers Curb Market is a project of the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority (LDDA).

The sounds of the season presented in rhythmic styles ranging from classical keyboard transcriptions to contemporary percussive oeuvres, presented by the students of Southeastern University. Adults $5, Students $3.

- Lakeland Christmas Parade, Thursday, December 7, 2017, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM, Downtown Lakeland, Florida.

The 37th Annual Lakeland Christmas Parade will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at 7:00 pm and we hope that you'll join us for A Night in the North Pole!

- Southeastern University’s Annual Christmas Concert, Friday, December 8, 2017, 7:30 pm and Saturday, December 9, 2017, 7:30 pm, Bush Chapel, Southeastern University, 1000 Longfellow Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33801. Adults $5, Students $3.

- Lakeland Water Ski Club - FREE Christmas Water Ski Show, December 10, 2017 @ 2:00 pm, Lake Hollingsworth.
