Everyone who works at Comfort Keepers is part of the team that provides the best in senior home care. If you call our main office, the first Comfort Keeper on the team you’ll talk to is Jennifer Denson Garcia, the Office Manager at Comfort Keepers. The job comes with an array of duties, and in effect, Jennifer Denson Garcia makes a difference for everyone at Comfort Keepers; she’s supporting every administrative personnel in the office, every caregiver in the field, and every client receiving care. “I enjoy working behind the scenes doing what I can to make the team successful in serving our clients,” she shared. Explore her background, Denson Garcia’s role at Comfort Keepers, and her personal work philosophy, below.
A native Floridian, Jennifer Denson Garcia grew up in both Bradenton and Lakeland. She returned to Lakeland as a college student at Southeastern University. There, she got her degree in Early Childhood Education, and put her talents to use in an administrative capacity. “I learned pretty quickly that I enjoyed working in administration,” she explained.
There are many parallels between working with the young and the old, and Denson Garcia maintained that “working on the administrative teams at assisted living facilities and preschools has given me valuable experience, opportunities, and knowledge that I am able to apply at Comfort Keepers to support our staff, caregivers and clients.
Denson Garcia, her husband, and her two daughters moved to Lakeland a few years ago, and she had the opportunity to join Comfort Keepers. “It is such an incredible opportunity to be part of a team and a company that takes pride in making a difference in the lives of the people in our community,” she shared.
Jennifer Denson Garcia shared that her duties vary from day to day. “My ultimate goal is to be a strong support for our Administration.” She explained that her duties “include everything from keeping supplies in stock and making sure administrative and office staff have what they need to be successful to working with vendors, planning events, making sure the facilities are running smoothly and filling in the gaps wherever necessary.”
Making a difference is what Denson Garcia is all about. “My pastor ends every service encouraging everyone to ‘Go out and make a difference in somebody’s life this week,” she explained. The sentiment drives her personal work motto: “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
Denson Garcia’s work makes a difference for everyone in Comfort Keepers. “I like knowing that the little things matter, like knowing that my crazy obsession with organizing actually contributes to a client’s care down the line!”
